Showcase Servette FC U16

In March 2024, the Simpletransfer Academy faced Servette FC U16 for the first time in the showcase – a highlight of the program that took place in French-speaking Switzerland. After a long journey, the team was well prepared and put in an impressive performance against a strong opponent.
1st half:
From the outset, the Simpletransfer Academy showed that it was ready to play at the highest level despite the journey and the unfamiliar conditions. With a clear tactical approach and intensive pressing, the team controlled the game. Salah was particularly eye-catching, scoring the 1:0 with an excellent individual effort in the first half to secure the lead. The Academy’s pressing was very effective, the team repeatedly put Servette under pressure and won many duels in midfield. The game was also very well structured and numerous good scoring opportunities were created. The Academy dominated the first half and took a deserved 1:0 lead.
2nd half:
The second half started just as strongly as the first. The Simpletransfer Academy kept up the tempo and continued to show excellent tactical execution. Servette struggled to get into the game as the Academy’s pressing worked very well and their opponents hardly created any clear-cut chances. However, the tide was to turn in the final minutes of the game: Servette was able to equalize to 1:1 after one of our mistakes. In the final minute, Servette took advantage of another mistake in defense and scored the 2:1, which secured the victory.
Conclusion:
Despite the defeat against Servette U16, the Simpletransfer Academy can be very proud of its performance. The team played an outstanding game at a high level, which was implemented very well both tactically and combatively. The many scoring chances, strong pressing and control of the game for large parts of the match underlined the potential and quality of the players. Unfortunately, two late mistakes in the closing stages prevented a deserved point. Nevertheless, it was a top-level game that showed that the Simpletransfer Academy can definitely keep up with the best U16 teams.
